The Golden Nugget has released early betting lines on the top 2013 College Football games.  Eight of BYU’s 12 games were on that list.

So grab your cash and place your bets on the B.Y.U. (like the Vegas style dots right there) Cougars!

Vegas lines on 2013 BYU Football Games from the Golden Nugget:

  • B.Y.U. (-3 1/2) @ Virginia

BYU an early favorite in ACC country.  Virginia is coming off a losing season, and is still trying to find their Quarterback for the upcoming year.

  • Texas @ B.Y.U. (+7 1/2)

Texas has 20 starters returning.  The Longhorns are actually favored in every game they play this season.  Vegas loves the Horns in 2013.  BYU will be looking for revenge in this one.  BYU fell to Texas 17-16 in 2011 back in Austin.

  • Utah @ B.Y.U. (-7 1/2)

BYU has been a favorite each year since the two schools left the Mountain West.  Utah has pulled off the upset both times, will 2013 be the same in Provo?

  • Georgia Tech @ B.Y.U. (-3)

The Cougars dominated Georgia Tech last year in Atlanta, was BYU’s best win of the 2013 season.  Yellow Jackets were last in Provo back in 2003.

  • Boise State @ B.Y.U. (-1)

This game will be an annual toss-up each year.  Both teams are always consistent.  The forecast on Boise for 2013 ranges depending on what publication you read.  Athlon has Boise ranked #11 while Phil Steele has the Broncos at #36.

  • B.Y.U. (+8) @ Wisconsin

It’s been 10 years since the Badgers lost a non-conference game at Camp Randall, so it is easy to see why BYU is an early dog for this matchup.  The last loss came against UNLV in 2003.  The Badgers fell 5-23.  Wisconsin hasn’t brought in many quality opponents like a BYU to Madison in the Non-Conference slate.

  • B.Y.U. (+11) @ Notre Dame
This one came as a bit of a shocker to me.  BYU was a pass from Riley Nelson to Cody Hoffman away from pulling off the upset in South Bend last year, and derailing the Irish’ undefeated season.  This line reflects the recent departure of QB Everett Golson, and the Irish are still nearly a two touchdown favorite.  BYU faced expected Notre Dame 2013 starter, Tommy Rees in last year’s contest while Golson was sidelined with an injury.

  • B.Y.U. (-7 1/2) @ Nevada
Last time BYU traveled to Reno was in 2002 where the Wolf Pack upset the 24th ranked Cougars. The Wolf Pack have a talented signal caller in Cody Fajardo.  Fajardo might be the best QB BYU faces all season.
So Cougar fans, how will BYU fare in these eight games in 2013?  Post your thoughts in the comments section here on the site.
