BYU adds another Defensive Lineman in the 2014 class, and yet again BYU went to the Golden State to get this verbal. The second verbal commitment from California in the past three days, and this player has a familiar name to many BYU faithful.
Teancum “Tico” Fuga, younger brother to former BYU DT Romney Fuga committed to the Cougars Monday evening. Older brother Romney is still fighting for a roster spot with the Denver Broncos as an Undrafted Free Agent. If younger brother Tico has anywhere close to the career of Romney, BYU just added another quality lineman to the defense.
Here’s what Romney had to say on Twitter tonight about younger bro committing to the Cougs.
Proud of my little bros’, Teancum (Tico) Fuga, commit to BYU. His hard work is paying off. He’s a stud. #byufootball

Fuga held offers from Utah, Utah State, and Boise State according to Talo Steves with Totalbluesports.com. Visited the BYU campus this past weekend and decided to commit to Coach Mendenhall and staff.
Like Romney, Tico has been a prep standout at Edison High School.
Along with Fuga, BYU has 2014 D-Line commits from Sione Takitaki who committed over the weekend, and Isaiah Nacua (Bishop Gorman, NV). Nacua is an ESPN 300 recruit.
The 2014 class now has seven commitments. All but one of those commitments is from outside the state of Utah. In years past, the state of Utah produced a majority of the signees for BYU’s classes.
