Bronco Mendenhall Signs Contract Extension Through 2016

It’s been rumored for some time that Head Coach, Bronco Mendenhall would be signing an extension with BYU, it was simply a matter of time when the announcement would be made. We finally got that answer.

Today at Media Day, Tom Holmoe announced that Mendenhall’s contract has been extended through the 2016 season.

Great news and great timing for the program to get this out of the way right now, five weeks before Fall Camp.  It would have been a lingering question throughout the off-season if they did not get this taken care of right now.

Now the question would be, is this the last contract for Bronco as Head Coach of BYU?  Bronco has always stated he is not for long in this profession.  Once Mendenhall gets to the 2016 season he will hold the title of Head Coach for 12 years.
