BYU Schedules USC to Three-Game Series Starting in 2019

BYU Football Media Day opened up with the “State of the Program” address today.  Athletic Director Tom Holmoe made a huge announcement on the scheduling front, BYU has scheduled USC to a three-game series starting in 2019.

The first matchup in 2019 will be in Provo, then 2021 & 2023 will be in the month of November for those seasons. Which is very interesting when you consider that the Pac-12 has a rule in place that non-conference games for Pac-12 teams can not schedule games outside the first four weeks of the season, unless there is an exception made by the Pac-12.

This is another huge announcement on scheduling for BYU moving forward as an Independent.  The long-term goal continues to show that BYU wants Independence.  That’s a good thing.

BYU & USC have met two times.  That series was a home-and-home in 2003 & 2004.  BYU lost both of those games.  USC was National Champions in both of those seasons.
