The pre-season accolades for BYU’s do-it-all Linebacker, Kyle Van Noy continue to pile up.  Today, Van Noy was named to the Bronko Nagurski Watch List.  The Nagurski Award is presented to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player.  Van Noy definitely warrants being a candidate on this watch list.  The only player in College Football the past two years that can claim he recorded a statistic in every major defensive stat.

This is the second award Van Noy is on a watch list for.  The other was the Bednarik, which was announced on Monday.

BYU now has players on four award watch lists.  Van Noy’s pre-season nods, along with Tight End Kaneakua Friel on the Mackey (Best Tight End) list, and WR/KR JD Falslev on the Paul Hornung (most versatile) list.

The Bronko Nagurski Award is presented by the Charlotte Touchdown Club.  Last season, Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o won the award.
