BYU-UCF 2014 Date is Set

The Central Florida Knights released their 2014 non-conference schedule today.  We now have an official date for BYU’s matchup in Orlando with the Knights.  Saturday, October 11th BYU will take on Central Florida, according to UCF’s school press release.

Originally this game was scheduled to be on Saturday, September 6th but that changed for BYU’s second visit to Austin, to take on the Longhorns of Texas.

Central Florida is now in the American Athletic Conference moving from Conference USA.  This 2014 matchup will be the second game of a two-game series between the programs.  BYU won the first matchup in 2011, 24-17 on a nationally televised ESPN Friday night game.

BYU now has 11 games scheduled for the 2014 season.  One game left to finalize.  There are rumblings BYU is looking to add another high-profile program to the schedule at the end of the season.  A hot rumor has been BYU possibly traveling to Miami to take on the Hurricanes on November 29th in Miami.  Remember the last time BYU took on the Canes?  How could you not, it is arguably the biggest win BYU has had in program history.  (1990 over Miami, 28-21)

We will keep you posted on the all the scheduling latest here at Lawless Republic.
