The pre-season College Football polls are officially coming out, starting with the USA Today Coaches Top 25.

First off I need to ask, should coaches be voting on who the best teams in College Football are?  I think not, and I’m sure BYU Head Coach, Bronco Mendenhall feels the same way.  I’m going to go out on a limb that Bronco -member of 2013 coaches pollsters- isn’t filling out his own ballot.  Just a hunch on my part.  He barely learned Twitter, give the man a break!

BYU received some votes in the Coaches Poll putting them at #36 on the rankings.  Heading into the 2013 season, I would say that is about right for this team, right now.

BYU faces four schools ranked in the Top 25, and another who is receiving votes. The highest ranked team is #11 Notre Dame followed by #15 Texas, #19 Boise State, and #23 Wisconsin.  Utah State received more votes than BYU putting them at #35 on the poll, one spot in front of the Cougars.
