The Detroit Lions released their first depth chart of Training Camp today, and former BYU star Ziggy Ansah is listed as a starter.

Ziggy is slated as the starter at left defensive end, despite the fact that Ziggy has played exclusively at right defensive end throughout camp.

The Lions first preseason game is this Friday against the New York Jets.  Game will be available through NFL’s Preseason Live service which costs $19.99.

Last time an NFL rookie from BYU started on the Defensive Line in their first season was Ryan Denney in 2002 with the Buffalo Bills.  Denney was a second round draft pick for Buffalo.
