The BYU Basketball team might have lost to the Oregon Ducks today in the NCAA Tournament, but the BYU Football team received some big news from the Beaver State today.
Dualt-threat quarterback from Portland, Kimane Domena committed to BYU according to his high school coach, Christian Swain on Facebook.
Domena, a three-star prospect according to 247sports.com, has three offers. BYU, Colorado State, and Portland State. BYU was the first to offer back in the winter of 2012.
Last year, Domena threw for 1,561 yards, 14 touchdowns, and completed 63% of his passes for Roosevelt High School in 2013.
It is not yet known if Domena is being offered by BYU as a quarterback. There has been talk that he has been offered as a safety. I’d think BYU is going to give him an opportunity to compete at QB if he is committing this early in the process. Either way, Domena is an athlete that has seen time as a QB, DB, WR, and RB for Roosevelt.
Domena is the fifth commitment to the class of 2015. All of BYU’s 2015 commits are rated three-stars or higher right now.
Here’s some of Domena’s highlights.
