    I agree that Carlino’s transfer is a loss for BYU, but Carlino is mistaken if he thinks he will be successful at another program. Carlino is frustrating because he has the talent, but he doesn’t know how to play the game mentally. He constantly is looking to take the big shot and make the big play, which leads to a myriad of mental mistakes. The fact is he is a volume shooter that shoots sub 40%. Unless he can somehow learn to pick his spots in a new system, he’ll continue to be a mediocre player that shows flashes of talent.
