BYU Football: Kick Times Announced for Texas & Middle Tennessee Games

You know we are getting closer to football season when kickoff times are being announced for games.

Today two games on the 2014 BYU Football schedule received a kickoff time, and TV details.

BYU will play at Texas on Saturday, September 6th at 5:30 p.m. (MT) on Fox Sports 1.

This is the first time BYU will have played on Fox Sports One.  Last year was the FS1′s first full season of College Football coverage.  BYU is 3-1 all-time against Texas, including a 40-21 Cougar victory last year in Provo.  The 2014 matchup in Austin will mark the third time BYU has faced the Longhorns in Darrell K. Royal Stadium.

Along with the Texas game, it was announced that BYU would play Middle Tennessee State at 1:30 p.m. (MT) on CBS Sports Network.  There was speculation that this game would move to a Friday night on CBSSN, but that was put to bed after this announcement.

The Cougars will be traveling to Murfreesboro, Tennessee for the first time in school history.  This will be the first game in the state of Tennessee since the 1998 Liberty Bowl against undefeated Tulane.
