BYU Football: Devon Blackmon Out For Opener At UConn

There have been rumors of suspensions all over message boards and Twitter for months. On the first day of Fall Camp, Jamaal Williams confirmed that he had been suspended for the opening game against UCONN and will likely be back for Texas. The rumors didn’t stop. Tonight we may have seen the next suspension.

Devon Blackmon replied to a tweet sent out by Jay Drew and hinted that this suspension may be because he was wearing earrings?

Shortly after Twitter was buzzing with talks of earrings and other body piercings, 1320 KFAN’s Tim Montemayor tweeted a series of tweets possibly shedding more light on the situation.

So, all in all, nobody really knows for sure what’s going to happen. The one thing that we do know is that BYU will be without their new speedster for their game against the Huskies. Nick Kurtz is already out due to a foot injury and now Blackmon. But, rest easy, Cougar fans. Apo, Matthews and Leslie are still very talented receivers. The offense will be depleted, but I still think that there will be a lot of options for Robert Anae to choose from come game day.
