When initial betting lines were released for week one college football games in July, BYU opened up as a -17.5 point favorite over UConn. Now, after a number of players being suspended for BYU in today’s game, the line is moving down.
A number of sports books now have BYU favored by 14.5 with the over/under coming in at 54 for most books. The over/under went up by two points after the news of cornerbacks Robertson Daniel and Jordan Johnson being suspended was finally released.
The Las Vegas Hilton, MGM, and Wynn have BYU right now as a 15-point favorite.
Last season, BYU went 6-7 against the spread, and in the past 10 years has been 69-54-1 after the spread.
Since becoming an FBS Independent in 2011, BYU has been favored by 14+ points a total of 10 times. BYU’s record in all of those games is 10-0. Will they keep the streak alive? The Vegas books have been high on BYU all along.
