Former BYU football standout Harvey Langi will have his name called at some point during the NFL Draft. Here’s why the New England Patriots should be the team to do it.

The NFL Draft is just a few days away, which is exciting if you’re a BYU football fan. It seems that this year there’s more legitimate buzz around more players than in recent past.

Jamaal Williams, Kai Nacua, Andrew Eide, Taysom Hill and… Harvey Langi.

Langi is rising up on draft boards around the league, and it really isn’t hard to see why. His tape speaks for itself, then he had solid numbers at both the NFL Combine and BYU football’s Pro Day.

Originally someone slated to be a sixth or seventh round selection, now a lot of mocks have Langi somewhere in the third to fourth round range – alongside teammate Williams.

With a number of teams reportedly interested in him, including the Steelers, Raiders, Texans and Patriots, I think one of those teams gives him a better chance at success.

The New England Patriots.

Here’s why the Patriots should (and will) pull the trigger on Langi.
