Brian Billick began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for BYU under LaVell Edwards in 1978. Prior to his GA position, Billick was an All-American and All-WAC tight end for BYU. Billick would go on to coach tight ends at San Diego State for four seasons under Doug Scovil, and then become the offensive coordinator at Utah State for two seasons. Following his brief tenure in Logan, Billick was hired by Stanford as assistant head coach, before beginning a 16 year career in the NFL. While in the NFL, Billick spent five years as the offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings, where he helped mentor quarterback Randall Cunningham and the Vikings offense to lead the league in offense and break several NFL offensive records. He would then go on to become the Head Coach of the Baltimore Ravens, winning a Super Bowl in 2000.
