Charlie Stubbs graduated from BYU in 1978, and became a graduate assistant under LaVell Edwards during the 1983-84 seasons.  He helped coach and mentor the wide receivers during BYU’s national championship season.  He then went on to coach quarterbacks and fulfill offensive coordinator duties at several schools such as Oregon State, Memphis, UNLV, Alabama, Tulsa, and Louisville.  Stubbs is well known for his deep knowledge of running a college football offense, and his scheme of aggressive wide open passing attacks that he learned while at BYU.  During his career, Stubbs wrote and published three books, “Wide Open Football,” “Developing an Explosive Offense,” and “101 Playmakers and Special Plays.”  He is currently the head coach at Nicholls State.
