Andy Reid was recruited by LaVell Edwards to play on the offensive line at BYU in the late 1970’s. After graduating in 1981, Reid was hired as a graduate assistant to assist in coaching the offensive line. During this time, Reid developed a close relationship with Mike Holmgren. Reid would go on to be an offensive line coach at several colleges for the next ten years, before beginning a coaching career in the NFL. Mike Holmgren hired Reid as an offensive line coach for the Green Bay Packers where they won a Super Bowl together as coaches. Reid would later be hired as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, where he would quickly turn the franchise around. In the early 2000’s, Andy Reid led the Eagles to four straight conference championship game appearances, advancing to the Super Bowl in 2005, where they would lose to the New England Patriots in the final minutes. After 14 seasons with the Eagles, Reid would move on to become the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, dramatically improving the franchise from a 2-12 record in 2012 to an 11-5 record in 2013.
