Score prediction?

Josh: 21-18 BYU.

LSU has suffered some key losses this offseason and star linebacker Arden Key, who’s projected to be a top 5 NFL draft pick, will miss the game.

BYU can pull off the upset. After all, LSU coach Ed Orgeron has already been upset by Ty Detmer and the Cougars; Orgeron was part of the No. 1 Miami team that BYU, led by Detmer, defeated in 1990.

Geaux Cougars.

Nate: 24-14 LSU.

I really wanted to put on the blue goggles, see all the positives and give BYU football a win here. But I just can’t.

The crowd will be completely behind LSU. The Tigers have more talent. LSU won’t have to travel as far. LSU doesn’t lose in season openers. It just all adds up for a BYU loss.

Something the Cougars do have going for them is that, just like Portland State last week, the Cougars have nothing to lose. The world expects them to fall to LSU. They’re the underdog, the nobodies.

So let it all hang out and prove me wrong.
