The Hopefuls

Jonah Trinnaman

The Cougar wideout turned into an NFL hopeful literally overnight. He put up staggering pro-day numbers. He ran a 4.30 time in the 40-yard dash, which would have been the fastest time at the combine. His 12-food broad jump would have also been the best at the combine.

NFL suitors have come calling since, but one team in particular seems enamored with the speedster. The Chicago Bears actually met with Trinnaman the night before BYU’s Pro-Day, and they’ve been in contact since.

Three mock drafts have predicted the Bears taking Trinnaman in the draft. The Loop Sports had the receiver going to Chicago in the fifth round. The Chicago Sun Times and The Ten Yard Line both have him selected by the Bears in round seven.

The Bears could wait and sign him as an undrafted free agent, but if they want to make sure they get him they could take him in a late round to ensure he comes to Chicago.

Tejan Koroma

Much like Trinnaman, Koroma has been primarily linked to on team: the Dallas Cowboys. It would be a homecoming for the former Cougar center, and the Cowboys invited Koroma in for a visit.

Things must have gone well, since two different dallascowboys.com writers have Dallas picking the BYU standout. Nick Eatman and Bryan Broaddus both have Koroma going in the sixth round.

One mock draft goes against the grain, though. Pro Football Focus has Koroma reuniting with Taysom Hill in New Orleans with a seventh-round selection.
