John Beck is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play at BYU.  At a school that prides itself as being one of the premier quarterback factories in America, being considered amongst the pantheon of great BYU QBs is impressive.

Now we can add Beck amongst the pantheon of former players who can dance the night away.

In case you missed it, Beck is now in the CFL with the B.C. Lions.  In what appears to be a “getting to know you” meeting, Beck says his personal story then busts out into dance moves that none of us saw coming.  Beck breaks it down to the Dougie.  It was almost as beautiful as the passing clinic Beck put on in Fort Worth, with two taped ankles back in 2006 against #17 TCU.

How do you think Cali Swag District (artist who put out Teach Me How to Dougie) is feeling right now?  Their song has come to this.  A married man from BYU is breaking it down to the Dougie.  Who knows, maybe Beck gives the Dougie a revival in the married men community?  I just wonder where Beck learned these moves.  Teach Me How to Dougie came out in 2011.  Beck was with the Washington Redskins that year which makes me think it had to be Beck’s teammate, and fellow QB, Rex Grossman.  Grossman just looks like a guy that breaks out into the Dougie.

It’ll be fun to watch Beck get an opportunity to sling the rock again like old times.  Beck’s NFL career didn’t play out like many envisioned, but he has a great opportunity to thrive in the CFL.  Beck is competing for the starting position at quarterback with the Lions.

The Lions started training camp this past Sunday.  The first pre-season game is on Friday, June 13th, and the regular season opener is on Saturday, June 28th against the Edmonton Eskimos.

Good luck to Beck and all the B.C. Lions this season.
