BYU vs. Georgia Tech, October 12th
BYU saw a little bit of Lee last season in Atlanta when former Yellow Jacket QB, Tevin Washington went out with an injury. Lee went 3/7 for 31 yards and an INT while running for 14 yards against the Cougar Defense that completely shut down the vaunted Yellow Jacket option attack.
Lee had a standout performance against North Carolina where he led the Yellow Jackets to 55 points in relief of Washington. Lee also played in Georgia Tech’s Sun Bowl victory over USC. Georgia Tech went on to win, 21-7.
This year, Lee came out of spring as the clear cut starter to run Paul Johnson’s offense. Johnson is “retooling” the Yellow Jacket Offense as they look to utilize the passing game more this season. Lee can throw the football and I would expect that he will be better than what BYU saw in Washington last year.
