Last year, Utah was expecting Jordan Wynn to be the starter. Wynn went down in Week two against Utah State and then announced his retirement from the sport. Jon Hayes then filled in and after Hayes, true freshman Travis Wilson was thrown into the fire. Wilson’s first start came against UCLA throwing for 220 yards. Finished 3-4 as the starter racking up 1,311 yards through the air.
Wilson has been handed the keys to the offense this season with new Co-Offensive Coordinator, Dennis Erickson now calling plays along with second year coordinator, Brian Johnson.
