BYU @ Houston, October 19th

Houston went 5-7 last year in Head Coach, Tony Levine’s first season.  But the same pass-happy offensive attack is still in place for the Cougars dressed in red.

Piland was a first year starter replacing record-setting QB, Case Keenum.  Piland did a nice job in his first season throwing for 2,924 yards and tossing 16 touchdowns.  The interceptions were the problem as Piland threw 12 picks.  The Cougar offense still averaged 480 yards of total offense.  With talented RB Charles Sims now transferred to West Virginia, I would expect a heavier workload for Piland who will rack up the stats even more in year two as the starter.
