The Fighting Irish had an undefeated regular season last year behind freshman sensation, Everett Golson. Golson is gone for this season due to academic issues, so in comes Rees.
Rees started last season against BYU while Golson was out due to injury. Rees has received a lot of criticism in his Irish career, but the kid has won a lot of games for Head Coach Brian Kelly and the Irish faithful. In 14 starts the past two seasons, Rees is 10-4. Rees is a solid Quarterback and a Senior leader, but a definite step down from Golson.
