25. Tanner Mangum
Quarterback, Class of 2012
Mangum, currently on a mission, has been in the program for one year where he redshirted. When Mangum comes back in 2015 he will compete to be the number two quarterback behind Taysom Hill. After 2015, Mangum looks to be the future of the quarterback position for BYU.
A native of Eagle, Idaho, Mangum was an Elite 11 MVP and Co-MVP of the Under Armour All-American Bowl with national champion winning quarterback Jameis Winston. Pretty good company to be with.
Many folks including myself are hesitant to have lofty expectations for Mangum after we saw with #1 quarterback prospect Jake Heaps. It’s hard to deny Mangum’s accolades to this point at the high school level, thus giving him the #25 spot on this list.
