Today is the day!  Christmas Day for all the die-hard College Football fans out there, Signing Day!

I’ll be documenting some of my thoughts throughout the day here on this thread.  Also on Twitter through @LawlessRepublic and @Mitch_Harper.

1:49 p.m. Bronco’s press conference is finalized.  He did mention that the scholarship left by Ammon Olsen will be possibly used for a QB transfer this summer.  But no guarantees.

1:21 p.m. Bronco’s Signing Day presser is taking place.  Bronco confirmed BYU landed Uriah Leiataua from Compton, California. A defensive end prospect who recommitted from Stanford.

12:25 p.m. Justin Sorensen’s fiancé, Cary Hoki gets us all fired up for the Bronco Mendenhall Press Conference at 1 p.m. (MT)

12:23 p.m. BYU’s Marketing is hosting a Signing Day luncheon in the Student Athlete Building today.  Folks are excited about the highlight package put together.   Here’s a video that was posted on instagram.

12:19 p.m. Sione Takitaki is in! A linebacker from Fontana, California.

12:02 p.m. There was some confusion on 2015 DE prospect Gabe Reid.  Timpview released a list with all the players who would be announcing their college commitments.  Reid was on the list with a commitment to BYU, but it was done in error.

If the name sounds familiar, you are on to something.  Reid is the son to former BYU player Specner Reid, and also the nephew to Gabe Reid who played in the NFL for the Chicago Bears at TE.

12:01 p.m. Nacua is in!  He fulfilled his fathers wish by going to BYU to play with his brother, Kai.

11:21 a.m. Isaiah Nacua and Uriah Leiataua are all that BYU is waiting on now. Nacua’s mother confirmed Isaiah would sign with BYU yesterday.  Leiataua has been torn between BYU and Stanford down the stretch.

10:55 a.m. Fred Warner makes it official.  He will be signing with BYU.  Huge get for this team.  He has the ability to have an immediate impact.

10:19 a.m. Zac Dawe and Matt Bushman are heading on a mission right out of high school.

10:09 a.m. Courtland Sutton, a BYU prospect signed with SMU today.  He was a Safety recruit.

9:41 a.m. Will be interesting to see what happens with Fred Warner.  USC and Washington made a late push to convince Warner to flip his commitment to BYU.

9:39 a.m. Damien Mama signed with USC.  He put on a USC cap on ESPNU.  Now it’s coming out from Rivals.com’s Mike Farrell that Mama might have eligibility issues.  Very interesting.

8:30 a.m. BYU just added JUCO Wide Receiver Devon Blackmon and UTEP WR Jordan Leslie.  Adding these two with JUCO Nick Kurtz, the WR position saw a huge upgrade in 2014.  Leslie has one year of eligibility and is eligible to play in 2014.

8:01 a.m. Mike Riley, head coach at Oregon State announced that Baker Pritchard signed with the Beavs. Pritchard was a DL signee back in 2011 out of Bingham. Will be coming back from a mission this year.

7:38 a.m. First five are on the board.  Kurtz, Shelton, Dye, Gulley, and Kavika Fonua.  Here’s a scene of the football offices for today.

7:03 a.m. 37 players from ESPN 300 will face BYU over the next five seasons.  The diversity and novelty that independence brings is exciting.  Crazy to see what Mike London and Virginia have done on the recruiting trail after a 2-10 season.

6:46 a.m. Liking the graphics that BYUcougars.com is using for each signee.

6:42 You Punt, You Dye Jr. is in!  Trey Dye is expected to be mission bound right away.

6:38 Jaterrius Gulley, DL, from Hoover, Alabama is in.

6:32 a.m. Nick Kurtz and Michael Shelton are on the board.  The two mid-year enrollees.  Then BYUcougars.com’s website crashes. Way to go.

6:24 a.m. Faxes should start rolling in for BYU at 6:30.

6:00 a.m. BYUCougars.com has a nice splash page promoting Signing Day when you get to the homepage of the site.
