The 2014 home stand might lack the sizzle in the opponents that will travel to Provo, but the home team is going to be setting the place on fire with their alternate uniforms this season.

BYU offensive tackle, De’Ondre Wesley posted an image on his Instagram account (pictured below) of the three home games that BYU will be wearing alternate uniforms this season.  Totalbluesports.com Editor, Jake Hatch made the discovery.  Hopefully Jake gave De’Ondre’s image an ‘ol double tap, because if you’re a BYU fan you can’t help but like the alternate gear the Cougars will be donning this season.

BYU is bringing back the black uniforms from the 2012 season.  The Cougars wore the black unis against the #10 Oregon State Beavers that season, this year BYU will don the black against UNLV on November 15th.  Obviously would like to see a bigger game for the black uniforms, but honestly gives the fans something exciting to look forward to on the November home slate.

On Friday, October 3rd, the traditional royal blues will be worn against in-state rival Utah State.  Good choice bringing out the vintage royal against the Aggies.  Adds more color to the matchup with both having a dark blue as their primary colors.

Then BYU will wear their road all-white digs against Virginia on September 20th in LaVell Edwards Stadium.  This will be pretty sweet.  Never has BYU worn their white uniforms at home.

Fans are being asked to wear corresponding colors during those games.

How do you feel about the alternate uniform choices in 2014?  Are you a fan of having different looks throughout the season or would you prefer a traditional look every week?
