BYU @ Cal, November 29th
Goff was the lone bright spot in a dismal first year for Sonny Dykes at Cal. Goff was the first true freshman to start in a season-opener for the Golden Bears, and he practically rewrote the freshman record book in Berkeley. After last year, Goff had surgery on a separated shoulder. I’d imagine Goff doesn’t get anywhere near 531 attempts this season, but this Cal team will rely heavily on Goff to bounce back after a 1-11 campaign. Goff will basically be a seasoned vet by the time BYU faces the Bears in the season finale. If the Bears improve this season, bowl implications could be on the line in the last game of the year.
