BYU vs. Utah State, October 3rd (Friday)
The thing that stands out the most with Keeton is the fact that he never makes mistakes. He throws an interception once every 92 pass attempts. You’re going to win the turnover battle nearly every week with those stats, and in turn you’ll win a lot of football games. Keeton, has injected life and buzz into a Utah State program that didn’t know the feeling for decades.
Keeton is coming back from a season-ending knee injury that he suffered against BYU last year. He is expected to be 100% for the Aggies season opener at Tennessee on August 31st. The biggest knock on Keeton at this point in his career, is can he win the big non-conference game? The Aggies have came close against Auburn, Wisconsin, USC, and of course BYU. Some big wins for Keeton could garner some national buzz, and he could see his NFL Draft stock rise. The best NFL comparison I can think of with Keeton is defending Super Bowl Champion, Russell Wilson. Their games are very similar.
