In 2012, Sherry threw for 2,522 yards as a redshirt-Freshman, giving Rebel fans hope that this would be the guy to lead the Rebs out of the cellar in the Mountain West Conference. The Rebs were out of the cellar last year as they went to a bowl game, but Sherry wasn’t the guy under center. Caleb Herring was that guy. Sherry struggled as his wild gunslinger mentality became a turnover machine for the Rebs, who needed to make a change. Herring is now gone, can Sherry get back to his 2012 ways?
Sherry has the potential to turn defenses inside-and-out, we saw that in 2012. He’s just too inconsistent to put him any higher than #9 on this list.
