BYU is familiar with Hedrick already. Last season, Boise State’s starting QB, Joe Southwick went down with a season-ending injury the week before BYU against Nevada. Hedrick had his first start for the Broncos vs the Cougars, and BYU rolled to an easy victory over Boise.
Hedrick is a dual-threat QB who can run and pass. Boise should be improved this season with 15 starters returning.
It will be interesting to see how Hedrick and this new Bryan Harsin-led Boise program fare against Ole Miss down in Atlanta for the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff in week one of the season. If Boise State pulls off the upset in the Georgia Dome, BYU could be facing an undefeated Bronco squad in late October on the blue turf.
