Houston @ BYU Thursday, September 11

Houston returns 8 defenders to the defense that led the country in turnovers forced last season with 43.  Taysom Hill had 3 interceptions against Houston last year, including one that was returned for a touchdown and one that was intercepted in the end zone.  Last year, the Red Cougars ranked 84 in the country in total defense, giving up 420 yards per game.  While it seems Houston gives up a lot of yards, they are a playmaking defense and can cause problems if you let them.  Could be another shootout in Provo.

Player to Watch:  Derrick Mathews, OLB.  Last year, he intercepted a Taysom Hill pass and scored a touchdown.  He finished the season with 116 tackles, 7 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, 2 forced and recovered fumbles, and the 1 interception.
