BYU vs. Nevada: Cougars will face Wolfpack’s Version of ‘The Boz’

Most seasons the Nevada Wolf Pack are not atop my viewing priorities on a College Football Saturday, but this season I have made a point to watch the Wolf Pack on a weekly basis. Why? For one reason, to see Nevada’s senior defensive end Brock Hekking.

For those of you who are College Football junkies like myself, you are probably already familiar with Hekking. But for those of you who aren’t, you should get familiar. Hekking is the modern day Brian Bosworth of College Football with his majestic mullet.

Oh did I mention he mention he drives around the Reno campus in a golf cart, Van Wilder style, that is swagger out (as the kids say) in camouflage. Not impressed with this guy yet?

The only thing this guy is lacking is a track by Jamaal Williams’ “cuzzo”, Sean Mo.  If he had a Sean Mo track, we might be talking about Hekking in the Heisman discussion.

More from BYU Football

Outside of Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo, Hekking is the main man you need to keep your eyes on for the Wolf Pack in tonight’s game.

All jokes aside, Hekking is a player and one of the best pass rushers in all the land. Hekking is third amongst active college football players in his career for solo sacks with 19, and he has 28.5 tackles for loss.

Will be interesting to see how BYU’s starting left tackle Ului Lapuaho handles Hekking throughout the game. Either way, Hekking is one of the many reasons that makes College Football the greatest sport in the land.  Always enjoy seeing players with charisma and personality, makes the games more entertaining.
