BYU Basketball: A Preview Of The Runnin’ Utes
By Jeff Hansen
Tomorrow the Runnin’ Utes make the drive from Salt Lake City to Provo to take on our BYU Cougars at the Marriott Center. For nearly the last decade, BYU has dominated this rivalry, winning 11 of the last 13 games. Last year Utah sent a message that they were to be taken seriously again and not the laughingstock that they were under Jim Boylen. This year they come to Provo as the 13th best team in the country having recently beaten the eighth best team in the country in Wichita State. This game is, in my opinion, the biggest game BYU will have played so far this year.

I’ve seen a couple of Utah games this season and was at the Huntsman Center for their overtime win over the Shockers. I wanted to get a feel for how good this team really is and if they really looked like the 13th best team in the country. I came away with a few impressions and an overwhelming feeling of, “Yes, this team is that good.”
Let’s take a minute to get to know the Runnin’ Utes.
