Getting a win over Wyoming

A win over Wyoming means a 9-4 season in Sitake’s first year as a head coach. A loss means a bitterly disappointing 8-5 mark.

Things won’t be easy for the Cougars. Wyoming is a strong team and Tanner Mangum will be getting his first start since last season’s Las Vegas Bowl.

We’ve already broken down the Poinsettia Bowl matchup, but here’s the abridged version.

Wyoming isn’t a great team defensively (the Cowboys allow 213 rushing yards per game), is led by a great running back (Brian Hill has rushed for nearly 1,800 yards) and has lost three of its last four games.

The Cowboys nearly won the Mountain West Conference, and there’s still plenty of smack talk going on between the two fanbases about conference superiority and whatnot. So what better to wake up to Christmas morning than the memory of big bowl win?
