Tevita Mo’unga, Junior Defensive Tackle

BYU football will be replacing a lot of pieces up from. Travis Tuiloma is gone. Logan Taele is gone. Harvey Langi is gone. Sae Tautu is gone.

So a number of players will have to step up to fill those voids. Kesni Tausinga, Handsome Tanielu and Moses Kaumatule are all names to look out for, but Mo’unga is more of an under-the-radar pick.

Firstly, he’s huge. At 6-foot-3, 320-pounds he’s a tough guy to move on the defensive line. The kind of player that frees up edge rushers. He might not accumulate many stats, but he doesn’t have to. He’s got to push back the guards and center.

There’s not really any footage readily available of Mo’unga, but I thought he played pretty well last season. He accumulated 14 total tackles and played in every game.
