BYU football: Five future games to get excited about
BYU football just announced a home-and-home series with Tennessee. That’s big-time stuff. But that’s not the only matchup to be excited for.
Independence seems to be working well for BYU football.
The Cougars are getting games with big name programs consistently, and that’s all any fan could ask for.
With the announcement that Tennessee is coming to Provo in 2023, it got BYU football fans thinking all around the nation about the Cougars’ upcoming schedules.
And for good reason.
For the most part, the next four seasons bring some pretty great matchups for BYU football. Really, this list could have been 10 or 15 games long. But let’s try to narrow it down to the best of the best.
Here are five to get excited for.
No. 5: USC at BYU, 2019
Talk about a prime-time game. USC is one of the most storied programs in all of college football, so it’s always a big deal when a team like that comes to town.
The Trojans made a real push at the College Football Playoff this season, and show no signs of slowing over the next few years. It’s not unreasonable to think USC will be a top 10 – or even a top 5 – team when it comes to LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019.
BYU football is 0-2 against USC all-time.
