Go for broke

Here’s the thing. BYU basketball has nothing to lose.

Every play needs to be contested. Each screen set a litter harder, each jump a little higher, each loose ball chased.

Every game needs 110 percent effort. That seems ridiculous to say (especially at this level of college basketball), but a lack of effort has killed the Cougars all season long.

Play hard, win games.

BYU’s first WCC tourney game is Thursday at 2 p.m. against Loyola Marymount.
