BYU football: Breaking down Cougars’ NFL Pro Day
Harvey Langi
Langi didn’t bench (he’s rolling with his NFL Combine total), but ran an impressive 4.62 40-yard dash.
The linebacker/defensive end is in an interesting spot. He seemingly profiles as an inside linebacker at the NFL level, but teams could do a number of things with him.
They could bulk him up some and use him as a pass-rushing outside linebacker. Combined with his sneaky-good coverage ability, he could be an intriguing fit there. Or, a team could really try to beef Langi up and move him to defensive end.
Something worth noting: A New England Patriots scout ran Langi through drills, and also spoke to him for awhile after. A Houston Texans scout also exchanged some words with him.
