Jamaal Williams

Williams has always been the guy when it comes to the NFL Draft. The Cougars don’t often put skill position players into the league, but it didn’t take long for Williams to make a statement in his senior year.

BYU football’s all-time leading rusher turned in a very solid Pro Day as well. While Williams always passes the eye test on the field, it was important for him to have decent measurables. He ran a 4.53-second 40-yard dash, put up 18 reps on the bench and posted a 33-inch vertical.

Those numbers aren’t great, but the biggest test for the J-Swag Daddy was the 40-yard dash, and he passed it. At the NFL Combine he ran a 4.59, so he shaved time off that, and will continue to work out.

Williams likely has a number of visits upcoming. There are a number of teams that will be looking for a mid-round runner, and Williams has cemented his stock as a fourth rounder.
