BYU football: Three under-the-radar Cougars for 2017
Riley Burt
The coaching staff hasn’t minced words about the situation in the BYU backfield. It will be a running back by committee approach to replace Jamaal Williams.
One of the horses in that stable is Riley Burt.
Burt redshirted the 2016 season, but showed fans potential in 2015. Against Cincinnati that season he ripped off a 41-yard scamper, a run that showed off a mix of power, speed and explosiveness.
Burt looked good throughout spring camp, and he’ll have plenty of opportunities to prove himself. There’s a chance he becomes the No. 2/change-of-pace back for the Cougars.
