When it comes to BYU football, we know that defense will be their calling card. Kalani Sitake and Ilaisa Tuiaki are talented defensive schemers, and the Cougars switch to a 4-3 defense is one that maximizes their strengths.
After having one of the best defenses in the nation a year ago, it looks like BYU football will be even better in 2017.
Here’s what they defense will probably look like this fall.
Defensive Tackle
Starters: Tevita Mo’unga, Kesni Tausinga
Backups/In The Mix: Handsome Tanielu, Merrill Taliauli, Solomone Wolfgramm
There’s a lot of quality depth on the interior of the defensive line for the Cougars. BYU’s got great size along the line, headlined by the 350-pound Mo’unga. Taliauli, who was injured in mid-October last season, may also play a large role.
