Defensive Back: Daniel Sorensen

Years Active: 2008, 2011-13

Career Stats: 211 total tackles; 1 sack; 11.5 TFL; 23 passes defended; 8 INT

Now a key member of the Kansas City Chiefs’ secondary, Sorensen was a key defender for BYU football. In 2012 and 2013 Phil Steele named him to his All-Independent First Team.

Sorensen was great in coverage, but he was also such a sure tackler. He’s in the ball park of linebackers in terms of career tackles.
