Yet another rivalry classic game.
High level basketball. Big runs. Jimmer hitting from deep, getting and-ones. A punch thrown in the final minute.
The game started looking like the Runnin’ Utes were going to get run right out of the building. Jimmer had barely scored a bucket, but Haws, Hartsock, JT and Emery were making the Ute defence look positively anemic. Dunks right, left, and center.
But then the Utes made a little run before halftime. Then they made a bigger one after, aggressively defending, attacking in the post behind Jay Watkins and outside with freshman Marshall Henderson. Finally, they closed within a couple possessions.
