Develop the rest of the roster

Something that again, should be happening regardless. However, there’s been a stark lack of development from the Cougars. Most figured Nick Emery would take a step forward in year two. Nope. There was a thought that BYU basketball wouldn’t have to rely on walk-ons anymore. Nope.

The lack of development is on Rose in the sense that he hires coaches that do a questionable job. Rose is a great recruiter and knows how to pitch BYU well. Now the rest of the staff needs to make players better.

If that doesn’t happen, then next season will be the same as every year post-Jimmer. Up and down, filled with a good win here and there and bad losses throughout.
