Riley Burt brings the speed.

A 3-star prospect in BYU’s class of 2015, Riley Burt came to Provo with a reputation for speed.

As a senior at Box Elder High School in Utah, Burt posted an impressive 10.93 in the 100 meters.  As a true freshman in 2015, the 6’1″/205 running back saw limited action (14 carries, 86 yards) but did give a glimpse of his speedy talent by breaking off a 41-yard run against Cincinnati.

Riley red-shirted last season, participating on the scout team.  The opportunity is there for him as a red-shirt sophomore to fight for carries.  We could definitely see him earn a spot in the backfield rotation this season.
