BYU football: Five great players the Cougars will have to stop this season

Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald

Bulldog QB Nick Fitzgerald is extremely athletic. He can hurt you through the air or on the ground, and can be a real game changer.

Last season Fitzgerald threw for 2,423 yards and 21 touchdowns (to just 10 interceptions). Plus, he added 1,375 yards and a SEC-leading 16 rushing touchdowns. All while averaging 7.1 yards per carry.

BYU football did a good job of limiting Fitzgerald in Provo last season, keeping him to 255 total yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

That’s going to need to happen again this season.
