Returners with starting experience

Tejan Koroma, 6-0/290, Senior.

The former freshman All-American has now played in 38 career games for the Cougars at center, starting every one of them.  Having a senior center with Tejan’s vast experience to anchor the line is an enormous boon for the offense.

Thomas Shoaf, 6-5/275, RS Sophomore.

The Indiana native held two Big 10 Offers (Iowa, Indiana) as a 3-star recruit in the class of 2013. Shoaf played in 12 games at right tackle last season as a redshirt freshman, starting 9 of them en route to being named a freshman All-American.  He should be considered the favorite to win the starting left tackle job vacated by Andrew Eide.

Keyan Norman, 6-3/305, Senior.

The transfer from Southern Utah started 13 games for the Cougars at right guard in 2016.  Look for Norman to be a starting guard once again in 2017.

Tuni Kanuch, 6-3/310, Senior.

The former 3-star recruit from Bingham High School has now played in 37 career games with 16 starts. Look for the run-blocking mauler to start at guard once again as a senior.

Ului Lapuaho, 6-7/305, RS Junior.

Lapuaho has played in 23 career games as a Cougar, starting 20. His season was cut short last year after suffering a knee injury against Utah.  He received a medical redshirt for 2016 and will be a junior in 2017.  Assuming he makes a full recovery from the knee injury that sidelined him a year ago, Ului will be a key factor at both tackle and guard.

Austin Hoyt, 6-8/305, RS Junior.

The former 3-star recruit held an offer from Utah in the class of 2012. Hoyt has now played in 22 career games, starting 4.  He will be at factor at both right tackle and guard in 2017.
