2016

Class of 2016 transfer:

  • Wayne Kirby (3 stars/#58 DT on Scout, 3 stars/5.5 RR on Rivals)

Kirby was a part of Oregon’s Top 25 recruiting class of 2016, while BYU football ranked 51st on Scout and 48th on Rivals.

Had he been a part of the Cougars’ class, he would have added 82 points to Scout’s ranking and 60 points on Rivals.  Adding those points in would have jumped BYU two spots in both Scout and Rivals, landing them at 49th and 46th, respectively.

Kirby is hoping to be granted a waiver that would make him eligible to play this season. If not, he can still suit up for the Cougars as early as the 2017 bowl game.
