BYU football: The 10 best performances of the Independence era
No. 9: Jamaal Williams vs Wyoming (2016)
In his final game for BYU football, Jamaal Williams provided the vast majority of the offense and sent the Cougars out on top.
The Stats:
Williams took 26 carries for 210 yards (his second-highest total of the season) and a touchdown en route to BYU’s 24-21 win over Wyoming in the Poinsettia Bowl.
What They Said:
Williams, in a Poinsettia Bowl press release, deflected praise towards his offensive line:
“I’m nothing without the line. You can’t run the ball without the line… They really need more credit than we do. We just run behind them and find the holes and stuff, but they’re the ones that open the holes.”
